Congrats to Marauder Tight End Nate
Chandler
and Wide Receiver Markques Simas
Marauders tight end, Nate Chandler, and wide receiver, Markques
Simas, were amongst the 400 players nationwide nominated to play in the
U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 6th at the Alamodome in San
Antonio, Texas.
80 players will be picked from the 400, 40 to represent the East and 40 to represent the West.
2006 Mira Mesa vs Vista
Quote from the San Diego Hall of Champions website 9/2:
"Last week: def. Vista Friday, 38-14. Mira Mesa's transition to a new quarterback started off as if Mike Coughlin never left for Boise State as the Marauders won at Vista, 38-14. Kevin O'Mary made his first start and completed 11-of-15 passes for for 197 yards and two touchdown passes. Markques Simas caught five balls for 103 yards and a touchdown. Running back Jelani Burton also scored on a 28-yard run and finjished with 24 carries for 119 yards. Next: Friday at Escondido."
